This is an icon made from the apple in my desktop wallpaper [link] NekoKage [link] requested it, and it seemed like a simple and reasonable request, so here you go. Both ICNS and ICO versions included.

EDIT: Since the source was nicely layered and KabitoJak asked so nicely I've uploaded a new version that has distressed and clean versions of the icons.

EDIT: theBassment pointed out that the shadow caused some visual issues on the new Mountain Lion dock, so I took a few minutes and updated with shadowed and non-shadowed versions in the zip.

If you take a look in my gallery, you can see I've been using this as my Finder icon ever since you released it. But with the updated dock in Mountain Lion, the shadow included in the icon image really does not look good. If you still have the .psd file, would you release a version of this fantastic icon without the shadow on the bottom? Thanks!!

I did my best to use photoshop to manually erase the shadow from the icon. Here is the result: [link]
Didn't come out too bad, but I'm sure it will look better by hiding the shadow layer of the .psd =)
